Often times, at Habesha Churches, there are 2 parts we've all experienced. First is the service, where both kids and parents sit in the church and pray. Second is the kid's free time, where they are let go to the playrooms while their parents continue praying inside the church. However, there are problems to this. Without parents, and just teenagers to supervise, the kids get VERY ROWDY.
Our Goal
As those teens who witnessed the rowdy kids disrupt church service, cause stress to parents, and cause a mess, we wanted to prevent this. And we wanted to prevent this with faith, by creating God centered lessons to help children realize what church is for: God.

We have created 25 slideshows, each centered around a different biblical message and story. These are meant to be presented at a pace of 1 per week, with enough slideshows to last 25 weeks.
Be sure to sign up as a volunteer! The google form is a simple contact form/questionnaire, and will offer you 3 hours a WEEK for presenting activities and/or slideshows. There are no team meetings, and it is reliant on YOUR own time. You do not have to present every week, just log hours for the weeks you do. This is a non-restrictive, and fun way to get your volunteer hours (+ completely in your own space and time!)
On the other 25 weeks of the year that don't have slideshows provided for, we offer activities. These are to make sure the children retain what they have learned, after they have been taught from the slideshows. These include pop quizzes, fun games, and more!
